The short version

We collect the minimum data needed to run Denwyn. We never sell your data. We never share your financial information with third parties for advertising. Your portfolio data is yours.

What we collect

  • Account information: Email address and name (provided during sign-up via Clerk authentication).
  • Financial data you enter: Transactions, accounts, assets, liabilities, and preferences. This is stored to provide the service.
  • Usage data: Basic analytics like page views to understand how the product is used. No personal financial data is included in analytics.

How we store it

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (EU region). Row-level security ensures each user can only access their own data. All connections use SSL encryption.

Third-party services

  • Clerk — Authentication (sign-in, sign-up, session management). Clerk processes your email and authentication data. Clerk Privacy Policy
  • Neon — Database hosting (EU region). Stores your financial data. Neon Privacy Policy
  • Vercel — Application hosting. Processes web requests. Vercel Privacy Policy
  • Yahoo Finance, CoinGecko, exchangerate-api— Market price data. These services receive asset symbol queries (e.g., "AAPL", "BTC") but no personal or financial information.

What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell your data to anyone.
  • We do not share your financial data with advertisers.
  • We do not use your financial data for profiling or targeting.
  • We do not connect to your bank or brokerage accounts.
  • We do not store payment information (the service is free).

Your rights

You can at any time:

  • Access all your data through the application.
  • Delete your transactions, accounts, and holdings through the application.
  • Request full account deletion by contacting us. We will delete all your data within 30 days.
  • Export your data — portfolio and transactions download as CSV from the app today.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies for marketing purposes.

Data retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through the application. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update.
